I read an article here this week and thought it was interesting enough to post here on the blog. I have been one that is not naturally self assured. I am not cocky and narcissistic. However I do want to be better this year at self promotion. So I think a part of that comes with being self confident in my work and my abilities as a photographer.
Graduating from college is one of the scariest things, because now you can't hide behind the title of student, you have to go out and make a career for yourself. So I think this is where faking it comes in. No I don't have a long list of clients that i have shot for. However, how does a fresh faced newly graduated photographer convince potential clients to give me the job...fake it. Don't fake that you have skills that you don't, just fake the confidence. I especially needed to hear this and implement this into my life. Have a book that shows your talent, and fake the confidence that matches the talent of your book. Confidence is key. If you don't have it yet, fake it until you do.
Faking it...
